ES Broadcast & Media announces a special package deal on the new Sony PDW-F800 XDCAM HD422 Camcorder, with viewfinder, condenser microphone and Canon HD Lens.
The PDW-F800 offers multi-format recording flexibility as standard – including SD recording and a frame rate of 23.98P in 1080 mode. The PDW-F800 camcorder builds on the features of the PDW-700 camcorder. Enhanced functions, such as Slow & Quick Motion (over-crank and under-crank recording), make the PDW-F800 ideal for cinema and TV drama productions, natural history, documentary, sport as well as ENG applications.

Capturing the look and feel of life aboard a spacecraft on a six-year mission through the solar system requires imagination, creativity and a flexible camera system. The production team behind the new TV series “Defying Gravity” used all three, including Sony’s F35 HD camera system. “Defying Gravity” is the latest TV series to be shot with Sony’s CineAlta digital cinematography technology, which includes the F23 as well as the F35.

Sony CineAlta cameras take center stage on hollywood’s major cinema and television projects. With its film-style ergonomics and broad dynamic range, Sony’s F23 digital cinematography camera was the production tool of choice for many high-profile motion picture and television projects in 2008, with that trend continuing into 2009. On the TV schedule, the camera is behind the scenes of “Privileged,” “Weeds,” “Gossip Girl,” “The Starter Wife” and “Knight Rider,” among others.
