Introducing the Codan Broadcast NK Series 3G/HD/SD Routing Switcher Family. Codan Broadcast brings the future of routing to today’s NK Series family of routing switchers with the 3Gb/s capable NK-3G family of 3G/HD/SD Routing Switchers.
The concept is simple. Select the routing frame size that most suits your current and future needs. There are three to choose from – 72×72, 144×144 and 320×320. Then, as required, add any of the advanced options (listed overleaf) to provide the features and capabilities needed.
The 3Gb/s routing solutions are in complete harmony with the concepts of the NK Series family. It is only necessary to buy the system components and options needed. Hardware upgrades can be done at any time in the field without taking the routing system off line (144, 320 only – 72 matrix is on the motherboard).
The NK-3G routing switcher frames (144, 320 only) share many characteristics. Each can be populated from 8×8 up to the frame’s maximum size in groups of 8. I/O cards are common across the range (144, 320 only – 72 has other cards for 3 RU, SDI and HD cards may be fitted in this frame, SDI may have 3G reclocking output cards as an option). The 144 router also offers a number of duplicate output slots, ideal for applications that require extensive monitoring. I/O boards, matrix cores, power supplies and cooling fans are hot swappable on the 144 & 320. Redundancy options for matrix cores, power supplies and control interfaces are available (144, 320 only, redundant PSU for all). All offer system status monitoring of input and output signals, power supplies, temperature, fan speed, and reference via web browser or Phoenix Control Surface (72 provides monitoring of PSU, reference).
